About me

Hi, I'm Kate,

I'm a Senior Product Designer with a background in full-stack web development, UX, business strategy, and fine arts.

I help start-ups and mid-size companies transform messy ideas into clear, intuitive products that drive real commercial impact.

I’ve redesigned legacy software, launched new software products, shaped CMS and customer-facing experiences, and built dozens of public websites end-to-end. Before product design, I ran my own web studio and supported small businesses with brand and go-to-market strategy.

I studied UX and front-end development at Media Design School, hold a Master of Arts Management from AUT, Diploma in Technology from Whitirea and originally trained in Fine Arts at Elam and the Slade School, which gives my work a strong visual grounding.

My career shift from the arts to tech started when I taught myself HTML/CSS to build a website for a curated installation (The Monopoly Project).
That first site sparked a lasting love for design, development, and product thinking and I’ve never stopped building since.
