Tourism NEw Zealand

Project Brief

New Zealand.com needed to upgrade their website to Silverstripe. I worked with a team of developers to make that happen. I also helped design TNZ's custom CMS

Project Information
This was a very complex project and took a team of about 10 people over a year and a half to complete. We had to transfer the back end of the newzealand.com website to Silverstripe and then launch the new site seamlessly for all of the thousands of site visitors and as well as all of the content creators, tourism operators and others working within the website CMS. This was the offical tourism New Zealand website for the country with thousands of visitors from New Zealand and overseas. It had to look and work perfectly.
Project Scope
My job, along with a team of developers was to copy the original website code and add it onto new Silverstripe modules and make it functional. It was very complex with a lot of problem solving involved. We had to translate HTML and CSS to PHP, JS and SASS.

I also did a design for their Silverstripe CMS. Silverstripe offers generic CMS set up but some companies require a custom set up, so I designed and helped to build their unique CMS system, which included components unique to them.

This was used by TNZ content managers as well as hospitality businesses throughout NZ that were connected to the TNZ platform.
